Long Island Whalers

Thomas Gensigner led the 12u Whalers to win the Ed Rall Tournament on the weekend of August 22nd-23rd.  Thomas earned two victories on the mound and also hit 2 homeruns and had the game winning walk off hit in Saturdays game. 

Zachary Schindler was 8 for 12 w/9 rbi's, 7 sb's and 7 runs.  Jimmy Guerrero added two homeruns with 7 hits in at-bats, 5 rbi's, 5 runs, and 2 sb's.  Richie Whalen had six hits in ten at-bats as well. 

Coach Santoro added, "Nice to see a team bust it all summer and be rewarded with a tournament win as well as their skills coming together as a team.  What a pleasure to watch the Whalers perform and win a tournament as a 'TEAM'. All the boys contributed with pitching, hitting,and defense. There was no stopping them this weekend!"
